The rules and guidelines for using CardGrade.io services.
Effective: August 1, 2026
•Last updated: August 1, 2026
Important: Please read these terms carefully before using CardGrade.io. By using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
CardGrade.io is a service operated by TCG Treasury LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company, doing business as CardGrade.io ("CardGrade," "we," "us," or "our"). References to "CardGrade" or "CardGrade.io" throughout these Terms mean TCG Treasury LLC.
By accessing or using CardGrade.io, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use our services.
We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of CardGrade.io after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification.
You must be at least 18 years old to use CardGrade.io. By using our services, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
To use certain features of CardGrade.io, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate.
You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or use of your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.
Each person may maintain only one account. Creating multiple accounts — including through email aliases, disposable email addresses, or multiple devices — is prohibited and may result in suspension of all associated accounts.
To protect our platform and users, we employ automated fraud detection measures. These include device fingerprinting, IP address tracking, email normalization, and disposable email detection. These measures help us enforce our one-account-per-person policy and prevent abuse.
We limit the number of accounts that can be registered from a single device or IP address. If you are unable to create an account due to these limits, it may be because another account was previously created from your device or network. Contact support@cardgrade.io for assistance.
Our administrators may block specific devices or IP addresses from registering new accounts, and may suspend accounts that exhibit fraud signals. Blocks may be temporary or permanent depending on the severity of the abuse.
If you believe your account was suspended or your registration was blocked in error, you may contact support@cardgrade.io to request a review. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
CardGrade.io provides AI-powered trading card analysis through CGI Vision AI. Our services include grade predictions, condition analysis, and related features as described on our website.
Credits are required to perform card analyses. Consuming a credit is use of the service. Subscription credits reset at each billing cycle and do not roll over to the next period; pack credits never expire. Refunds of purchases are governed by our Refund Policy.
Promotional or bonus credits (including retention bonuses) are provided at CardGrade.io's sole discretion as free gifts with no cash value, and may be subject to additional terms. Bonus credits are added as pack credits and do not expire.
We strive for accuracy but cannot and do not guarantee that our predictions will match the grades ultimately assigned by any professional grading company, including PSA, BGS, CGC, SGC, or TAG. Our predictions are independent estimates based on image analysis, are provided for informational purposes only, and should not be relied upon as definitive. CardGrade does not submit cards on your behalf and has no control over the standards, fees, turnaround, or outcomes of any third-party grading company. Any accuracy-related credit we may offer (see our Refund Policy) is a service credit only and is not a guarantee of any particular grade, authentication result, or financial outcome.
Card identification — the specific card name, player or character, year, set, and variant we display with a result — is a separate feature from the condition grade, and is a best-effort match produced by AI against a catalog of millions of cards. Because many cards share the same card number, artwork, or design, visually similar items — including base cards, parallels, inserts, reprints, serial-numbered variants, and error cards — may be identified as the closest visual match rather than the exact card you hold. Identifications are provided for your reference only, are not guaranteed to be correct, and can differ from one scan to the next. You are solely responsible for reviewing each identification and correcting it where needed (every result includes a "Wrong card? Edit" tool for this purpose) before relying on it for any purchase, sale, trade, insurance, submission to a third-party grading company, or other decision. CardGrade is not responsible for any decision made or action taken in reliance on an incorrect identification, and the condition grade itself is unaffected by which card name is assigned.
You retain ownership of all card images and data you upload to CardGrade. By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, process, and store your content to provide our services.
You represent that you have the right to upload content and that your content does not infringe on the rights of others or violate any laws.
We may use anonymized and aggregated data from user analyses to improve our AI models. You can opt out of AI training in your account settings.
You may not use CardGrade.io for any illegal purpose or in violation of any local, state, national, or international law.
You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, interfere with our services, or circumvent any security measures.
You may not use automated systems (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access CardGrade.io without our express written permission.
You may not register using disposable or temporary email addresses. You may not use email aliasing techniques to create multiple accounts.
You may not circumvent or attempt to circumvent fraud detection measures, account limits, device or IP blocks, or other security restrictions.
You may not upload content that is malicious, harmful, or violates the rights of others.
Consumer subscription plans (Hobby, Starter, Pro, and Business, monthly or annual) and credit packs are purchased inside the CardGrade iOS and Android apps and are billed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). The applicable store processes the payment, the subscription term, renewals, and any refunds under its own rules; CardGrade does not receive or hold your card details for these purchases. Subscription credits are delivered monthly across the term for both monthly and annual plans; an annual plan is paid up front but does not grant all twelve months of credits at once.
Developer API subscriptions (API Starter, API Growth, and API Scale) are purchased on cardgrade.io and are sold and billed by Paddle.com, our merchant of record. Your order for an API subscription is a transaction with Paddle as an authorized reseller of CardGrade, governed by the Paddle Buyer Terms in addition to these Terms. Paddle processes the payment, applicable taxes, renewals, and refunds for these purchases.
By subscribing to a paid plan through any channel, you acknowledge that you are purchasing access to a digital service. Prices are subject to change. We will provide notice of price changes and such changes will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
Eligible users may be offered a free trial for an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. The applicable store purchase screen states the trial duration, the subscription service and credits included during the trial, the standard price after the trial, and the automatic-renewal terms. Apple or Google, as applicable, processes the subscription billing.
If you turn off auto-renewal during a mobile store free trial, you will continue to receive the trial subscription access and included trial credits through the trial end date shown by the applicable store. You will not be charged for the next period unless you allow the subscription to renew.
Unused free trial credits expire when the mobile store trial ends. These credits are promotional trial credits, not purchased credit packs. Ending or expiring a free trial does not remove credit packs you purchased or Pro credits you purchased.
Free trials are limited offers and may be subject to store eligibility rules and our reasonable anti-abuse controls. We may decline a future promotional free-credit grant when we reasonably determine that an offer is being abused, but a normal cancellation by itself is not fraud.
You can manage or cancel an Apple App Store subscription through your Apple Account subscription settings and a Google Play subscription through Google Play subscription settings. Store billing, cancellation, and refund rules apply to store purchases in addition to any non-waivable rights under applicable law.
You may upgrade your subscription plan at any time during a billing cycle. When you upgrade, you will be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current billing period reflecting the difference between your current plan and the new plan. This prorated charge is calculated automatically by the billing platform.
Upon upgrading, your subscription credits will be immediately refreshed to the new plan's monthly allowance. Previous unused credits from the lower-tier plan are forfeited and are not refundable or convertible. Your billing cycle date and interval (monthly or annual) remain unchanged.
Upgrades are processed immediately. If you upgrade and later wish to return to a lower plan, you can follow the downgrade process described below, which takes effect at the end of the billing period.
You may cancel your subscription or request a downgrade at any time. Cancellation and downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period — you will retain access to your current plan's features and any remaining subscription credits until the period expires.
For a no-charge Apple App Store or Google Play free trial, cancellation turns off auto-renewal and takes effect when the trial period ends. Your trial access and included trial credits remain available through that store-provided end date; unused free trial credits then expire as described in the Mobile Store Free Trials section.
Refunds for cancelled purchases follow the Refund Policy section below: purchases billed by Paddle carry a 14-day refund window, and purchases billed by Apple or Google follow that store's refund process.
When you cancel, remaining subscription credits stay available and usable until your billing period ends, at which point they expire. CardGrade.io may, at its sole discretion, convert remaining unused subscription credits to pack credits upon cancellation; converted credits do not expire.
CardGrade.io may, at its sole discretion, offer retention incentives (such as bonus credits) to users who initiate a downgrade. Acceptance of a retention offer constitutes agreement to remain on your current plan. Retention bonuses are limited to one per billing period, have no cash value, and cannot be applied as payment toward future billing.
WEBSITE PURCHASES BILLED BY PADDLE. Developer API subscriptions purchased on cardgrade.io are billed by Paddle, our merchant of record. You may request a full refund of a Paddle-billed purchase within 14 days of the transaction, issued to your original payment method. Request it by emailing support@cardgrade.io or by contacting Paddle at paddle.net; refunds are processed by Paddle in accordance with the Paddle Buyer Terms.
MOBILE APP PURCHASES BILLED BY APPLE OR GOOGLE. Subscriptions and credit packs purchased inside the iOS or Android app are billed by the applicable store, and that store processes refunds for those charges under its own rules — Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, Google through your Google Play order history. We will always help you identify a charge and direct your request to the right place.
CANCELLATIONS. You may cancel a subscription at any time, effective at the end of your current billing period; you keep access and remaining subscription credits until the period ends. Pack credits you purchased never expire and are unaffected by cancellation.
BONUS AND PROMOTIONAL CREDITS. Welcome credits, loyalty bonuses, referral credits, ad credits, and review credits are free gifts with no cash value.
BILLING ERRORS. If you believe you were charged in error, contact support@cardgrade.io as soon as possible. We will investigate and correct legitimate billing errors promptly.
CHARGEBACKS. We strongly encourage you to contact support@cardgrade.io before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute — direct resolution is almost always faster. Where a dispute involves suspected fraud or abuse of payment protections, we and our billing partners may investigate and take appropriate action consistent with their terms and applicable law.
The full, current version of this policy is published at cardgrade.io/refund.
CardGrade.io, CGI Vision AI, and all related trademarks, logos, and service marks are our property. You may not use our marks without prior written permission.
Our services, including all software, algorithms, and content, are protected by copyright, patent, and other intellectual property laws.
Nothing in these terms grants you any right to our intellectual property except the limited license to use our services as described herein.
CardGrade.io is an independent service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or otherwise connected to PSA (Professional Sports Authenticator), BGS (Beckett Grading Services), CGC (Certified Guaranty Company), SGC (Sportscard Guaranty Company), TAG (Technical Authentication and Grading), or any other professional grading company.
PSA, BGS, CGC, SGC, TAG, and all other company names, logos, and brands referenced on CardGrade.io are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification, description, and comparison purposes only. Our use of these names does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by their owners.
Grade predictions and any reference to third-party grading scales are provided to help you make your own decisions. We do not guarantee that submitting a card to any grading company will result in the predicted grade, and we are not responsible for the fees, turnaround times, policies, authentication decisions, or grading outcomes of any third-party company.
CardGrade.io is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that our services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of any information provided through our services.
Grade predictions are estimates and should not be relied upon as definitive assessments. Actual grades assigned by professional grading companies (including PSA, BGS, CGC, SGC, and TAG) may differ from our predictions, and we make no guarantee of any specific grade, authentication result, or resale value.
CardGrade does not authenticate autographs, signatures, or memorabilia, and our AI cannot verify whether a signature or autograph is genuine. No result constitutes authentication, and nothing in a result should be relied upon to establish the genuineness, origin, or provenance of any item. Authentication of signatures and memorabilia is performed only by qualified third-party authentication services.
Any market value, price estimate, or comparable-sales figure shown with a result is an estimate derived from third-party data and recent sales trends. It is provided for general informational purposes only, is not an appraisal, and is not a guarantee of any resale, purchase, or insurance value. Actual prices vary with market conditions, the card’s true condition, demand, and the specific buyer or platform.
The accuracy of a digital assessment depends on the images you provide, including their resolution, focus, lighting, angle, and freedom from glare or obstruction. Poor-quality or non-representative images may produce inaccurate results. A digital preview is not a substitute for in-hand inspection or professional grading.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CardGrade.io and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of CardGrade.io shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability, so these limitations may not apply to you.
Nothing in these Terms — including the no-refund policy, the disclaimers of warranties, or the limitation of liability — excludes, restricts, or modifies any right, remedy, guarantee, warranty, or other term that applies to you under applicable consumer-protection law and that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Where such a law applies, our liability for failing to meet a non-excludable guarantee is limited, to the extent the law allows, to the remedies that law requires.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction that grants statutory withdrawal or cancellation rights for digital services or digital content, those rights apply to you to the extent required by law. Where you expressly request immediate access to a digital service and acknowledge potential loss of a statutory withdrawal right once the service is fully performed, that acknowledgment applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
This section prevails over any conflicting provision in these Terms to the extent of the conflict.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CardGrade.io and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of our services or violation of these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Subject to the Dispute Resolution section below, any dispute arising from these terms or your use of CardGrade.io that is not resolved by arbitration shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
Please read this section carefully — it affects how disputes are resolved. Except where prohibited by applicable law, you and CardGrade.io agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the services will be resolved by binding individual arbitration rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court.
YOU AND CARDGRADE.IO AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, COLLECTIVE, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person’s claims or otherwise preside over any form of a representative or class proceeding.
This arbitration agreement and class-action waiver do not apply where they are prohibited or unenforceable under the law governing your relationship with us — including for many consumers in the European Union and United Kingdom, who retain the right to bring claims in their local courts. Nothing in this section waives any right that cannot lawfully be waived.
You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing legal@cardgrade.io within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. Opting out will not affect any other part of these Terms.
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and CardGrade.io regarding your use of our services.
