Beckett pauses new Base and Standard grading submissions: what collectors should know
Beckett.com and the mobile app remain offline for maintenance since September 9, but Base, Standard, and Express submissions have reopened via a temporary Jotform while digital platforms stay down.
Updated September 16, 2026
Temporary submission form now open
Beckett.com and the mobile app remain offline for infrastructure upgrades since September 9, 2026. However, Base (with subgrades), Standard, and Express submissions have reopened through a temporary Jotform.
Priority was not listed on the temporary form as of September 16. Beckett's earlier September 15, 2026 reopen estimate for the main platforms has passed; no new restore date has been announced.
Background: the August 2026 pause
In August 2026, Beckett temporarily paused new online submissions for Base and Standard services while focusing on existing orders and expanding capacity. Express and Priority remained available during that period.
The September 9 platform outage for infrastructure upgrades then affected all online submissions. Base, Standard, and Express have since reopened via a temporary form, while Beckett.com and the mobile app remain offline.
Current temporary form fees
While Beckett.com remains offline, the following services are available via the temporary submission form (as of September 16, 2026):
- Base (with subgrades): $17.95; ~75+ business-day estimate.
- Standard: $34.95; ~45-business-day estimate.
- Express: $79.95; ~15-business-day estimate.
- Priority: Not listed on the temporary form as of this update.
Pricing and availability may change based on demand and backlog. Turnaround times are estimates and not guaranteed.
What to do now
- If you need Base, Standard, or Express grading, use Beckett's temporary submission form (linked from their maintenance page).
- For an existing order, you will receive automated email updates; contact Beckett Customer Service for order-specific questions.
- Pre-screen your best candidates to avoid paying submission fees on cards unlikely to grade well.
- If you need Priority service or prefer to wait for Beckett.com to return, monitor the maintenance page for updates.
A photo-based pre-screen can help organize that inspection, but it is not a BGS grade, authentication opinion, or guarantee of a future submission result.
