Beckett pauses new Base and Standard grading submissions: what collectors should know
Beckett has temporarily paused new online BGS Base and Standard submissions. This is not a pause on every grading service or on existing orders.

This is a capacity update, not an announcement that BGS has stopped grading. Beckett says existing submissions and packages already in transit will still be processed. It also says Express and Priority remain available.
What is temporarily paused?
The scope is specific: new online Base and Standard submissions. Beckett still lists the published price and turnaround for those services, but a listed price is not an open submission slot. Do not mail cards based only on an older fee chart.

What remains available?
Beckett says Express and Priority services remain available. It also says limited Base and Standard capacity may be offered at select events during the pause, but that capacity can change. Check Beckett's current instructions before relying on an event route.
What to do with a planned BGS submission
- Check the live Beckett availability page before you package or ship anything.
- For an existing order, use your Beckett account or contact Beckett for order-specific timing.
- If timing is essential, compare the current Express or Priority terms against your card's value and all-in costs.
- Use the pause to inspect your best candidates and remove cards that do not justify the eventual submission cost.
