Meaningful accuracy validation requires a large sample with both AI predictions and confirmed professional grades, plus controls for card type, era, and grading company. CardGrade has logged approximately 6,000 graded-card results to date. Until a statistically rigorous study is complete, we do not publish a single headline accuracy percentage.
Any future claim will specify sample size, tolerance band (exact match vs. within one grade), and grading company. We treat validation as an ongoing data-collection goal, not a marketing number.
A photo cannot show every flaw. Surface scratches at certain angles, stock or trimming issues, hidden dents, and authentication concerns require the physical card. For high-value items, suspected counterfeits, or any card where a one-grade difference changes the outcome, use a professional grading service for the final decision.
